What's a gas hand? Are you asking about the gas gauge?

im curious too, my gas hand stays above full, even with the brown wire unhooked from fuse panel, not sure if its the sending unit in the tank or gauge itself

Re: gas hand not working

As with anything electrical on our trucks, start tracing wires one at a time. Eventually you'll probably find an issue with one of them. Use a spare chunk of wire of similar gauge with a couple alligator clips on it to test between 2 contact points to see if the original wire is bad. If it is, replace it and see if that solves the problem... Oh yeah, you can do that "ohms" thing too, but my elevator doesn't go that close to the top floor so I take the simple way.
