When you got the factory wheels that were body color what color was the back side? Black... body color also?

All the wheels were painted black. When the truck was painted 2 tone the wheels were painted body color on front side only leaving backside black.

Yep, was just checking this very detail out this past weekend. Black on inside, body color outside.

The original wheels on my 1960 GMC were white all over - front and back, with heavy white overspray where the tire mounted. Perhaps GMC's were different, or the color changed after a certain year.

These are from the squarebody era (Flint Assembly) but picture 12 shows wheels being painted.

Black on the back; color on the front only (no masking).
