drop spindle and spring question

Hi everyone I just picked up my first C10 its 70 swb truck. I am goin to do the disc swap in the front with 2.5 drop spindles and i wanted to buy the lowering handling kit from classic industries and the kits are listed with 3\5 drop fro stock spindle or 1\5 drop with drop spindle. Im asssuming you cant use the stock spindle springs with the lower drop and the drop spindle? Will I have to buy the front springs separate to achieve my goal of lowering it around 5.5 inches? Thanx in advance any help is greatly appreciated

Re: drop spindle and spring question

What will you use your truck for? cruising, daily driver, work truck, etc

I have a 65 with 1.5" drop springs, drop springs and 2.5" 71/72 drop spindles. I like the way it sits and I dont have to worry about running up on anything. I also run 235/70/15 BFG

On the rear, I used 2500 Bags, an adjustable panhard bar and drop shocks. I run 275/60/15 BFG

I did the rear because I tow on occasion so I want the ability to adjust.
My setup has my truck riding very well at any speed and handles well.

Re: drop spindle and spring question

Its gonna be a crusing truck Im goin the pro touring route with the truck and i want to slam it and make it handle real well. I will eventually do alot of work to the rear suspension bc I want to be able to tow the harley with it but for now I want to get it real low and take it from there. Just not sure if the springs in those two kits are different or if they can be swapped
