Traded dirt bike for a '72...... Pretty good trade?
I traded my 2004 Suzuki drz400e for this 72 c10 short bed fleet side. It has factory a/c and numbers matching 350/th350 trans. It's mostly original besides being reprinted a cream color rather than the original ochre yellow. I even found the build sheet, owners manual, warranty booklet, and a can of r12 inside the cab. It's been sitting for over 10 years up in the mountains, so it's not currently running. It's missing the radiator and alternator and that's about it. The windshield had a hole in it, and the back window is completely busted out. Surprisingly there is very little rust. What do you guys think? Was it a good trade?

I'm willing to bet junior got a smack upside the head after telling dad what he did. You made out like a boss on that trade.

Yeah man. You did good. In no way discounting the DRZ because I used to have bikes too (CR) but .. just looking at the truck.. Air Cab, Custom trim, SWB (the bed alone would bring $1200 where I come from if it's rust free) The grille surround and wood trim looks great too.
When you add the stuff you can't see.. Power discs, 5 lug, all of this costs a lot to change over and yours is already done vs. buying an earlier model. Rust repair is expensive and common in TN. That's a $5-6k truck around the Southeast running and driving. Did you get a title on it ? IF so, it's worth even more IMO. Is the bed floor wood or metal? Does it have a headliner in the roof with chrome trim?
