Unhappy May have to sell the truck

Well, a unique opportunity has showed its face, and that would be a 67 Oldsmobile 442 convertible all original, and numbers matching. it is going for the right price for me so I may have to jump on the opportunity to buy a great car at a great price. Although I do not want to get rid of my truck, this car is just too good to pass up. Once I hear back from the bank we will see what happens from there

Re: May have to sell the truck

I got a 68 LeMans convert that I put a 6.0 ls motor in I love it I haven't finished it but the paint work is done and has been. I think you should do what you can to get the car, just look at the ads of those for sale and then trucks of our body type. I am not knocking the trucks I have three to build but the same reason I can't finish the Pontiac is the same reason I kinda got into the truck type again. My older brother that was next in line to me in our family, he loved them and before he died he worked for me at my shop. That old Pontiac was his favorite thing in the shop even over the late model stuff.I know we all are chevy guys here but the "other"body than the Chevelle will bring lots more money than they will if you do have to sell. Re: May have to sell the truck

Wow, I thought most of you would disapprove I will attach the only picture I have of it as of now, but I may have to pull some strings to be able to buy this car. I am only 18, have no credit score, and am still in school so in order to get a loan to buy it I would have to have a co-signer, which would be my parents, and they said they wont do it till I graduate. So in other words I will have to try and get him to hold onto it until summer... but here is the pic, it is the one on the right, the one on the left is his personal full resto car.

This is a 71 you can tell by the marker lights in the bumper, my dad has a 70 convertible that currently looks like this:

This is the other reason I want this car, to have an older version of the car I knew since I was a baby

Re: May have to sell the truck

Very Cool. Marker lights in bumper is similar to our trucks also. A newish design concept back then. The blue one I posted above is stuck in the back of my head from when I was your age (many years ago) - when we would search for sleepers around town. Finding them (not for sale), I remember we found one like the above. White and gold, sitting around. Not sure whatever happened to it, wish I had the cash back then and made an offer.

Re: May have to sell the truck

the downside of the 67 over the 70 is the 67 only has a 400 cu. in. engine where the 70 has a 455, but I do hope i get the chance to get this car, maybe the seller will take a partial trade for my truck
