Had the K10 on the road... first time in years!

Here are a few pictures from my big outing this weekend. This truck hasn't seen the open road in about 5-6 years. It was sitting for 2 or 3 before I got it. Long story short, the guy who has been doing all my body work at my house has moved. He used to be 20 min away, and now his shop is an hour and a half away. He's been having a hard time getting out to my place. So I brought the truck up there to have the bed painted and a bunch of little "oops" touched up from not being careful enough during reassembly. The good thing is that it should be 95% complete when it comes out. The 1500 did ok towing, tried to get the weight over the axles on the trailer best I could but it was still sagging a bit. Oh well, they don't make them like they used to, right?

Great looking pickups. Once the truck is done reverse the rolls and see how that old k10 pulls, haha. You will appreciate your new pickup a little more. I understand what you mean though I had an 08 half ton with a 5.3 and its unbelievable how the new duramax tows in comparison. Better get some pics up as you assemble, love the color

Thanks, there are a bunch of pics in my build if you check it out.

Yeah this truck replaced an '03 2500HD 6.0L because i thought a 1500 would suffice for me. I dont think I can justify the duramax but my next one will definitely be another 3/4 ton.
