What are you using for the cooling lines? I tried alum tubing and have had problems with them. Thanks Rich

I'm using http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Univer...-Kit,6769.html with a 700r4 and have had no problems.

Re: auto trans cooling lines ?
The cooler circuit is pretty low pressure so you can safely use the flexible line like in that kit. Most auto parts stores will have inverted flare to push on hose fittings for the trans and 1/4 pipe to push on hose fittings for the cooler if you don't want or need the hard line in the kit....and they're cheaper. Just make sure to mount the flexible hose with brackets/U clamps in a couple of places so it stays put.

Re: auto trans cooling lines ?
I've always just bought the correct diameter tubing in the lengths I needed from the parts house and bent my own up. It's a bit tedious to get it looking really great but it can be done and it is a lot easier to get it right if you do it with the nose off the truck if you did have the nose off the truck.

Re: auto trans cooling lines ?
My cooler is brass so I used hard brazed 3/8 with barb fitting on the trans end, then short piece of rubber to barb on trans to allow for vibration and movement.

Re: auto trans cooling lines ?
Thanks Guys I haven't decided witch way I will go. I thought the alum tubing would be a good way to go, easy to bend and flare. Twice I have had to retightened them. I just don't trust them. Rich

Re: auto trans cooling lines ?
You can also go nuts and do braided stainless like I did to keep the theme of the underside.(crazy) I was at the frustration limit with the truck and how difficult things had been and I needed to use a remote cooler with a fan under the bed which would require many pretty precise bends. With Murphy at my side I wasn't up to it but I didn't really trust that much flexible hose. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
