Re: Newbie 72 Blazer owner question

The Rallye wheels weren't original in 1972. They didn't come as a factory option until 1973. A lot of us (me included) really like the look, though. I bought one set through local classifieds and another from an Army buddy. They're out there, and they're not that hard to find.

You can also get new rally-style wheels, but they're not the OEM ones GM sold.

I've used these guys before for other restorations and liked their products. http://www.stocktonwheel.com/

A LOT like my truck. Here's a pic to show what the Rallyes look like. Mine are from a '73.

Is that the 50k blazer that's been on ebay? There was another thread on here talking about it. Looks great.

Re: Newbie 72 Blazer owner question

Check CL. They're always on there. I just bought a powder coated set from my tire shop last month for 200 bucks. No rings or caps though.

Re: Newbie 72 Blazer owner question

This rims were available through the 80s. But looks like tou may have a sale on the ones posted. You should be able yo get a good amount for the ones you have on mow to cover the cost. I'm not a big fan of chrome rims either. But a wallet with trim rings and center caps looks nice. I have them on my 94.

Also were available white spike wagon wheels. That's what I'm running in mine now.

Good call on the choice of wheels, I went through the same on my Jimmy. The rally's you got look fantastic. Please share pics when you get them mounted, it will be the perfect finish to your truck.

Very nice.

May I suggest a roll bar to add to the look?

Re: Newbie 72 Blazer owner question

Hello,

Congrats on the best blazer I have ever seen. I had been watching this one and talking to the previous owner as well. I had talked with him the day prior to you purchasing it and again the day after. I also wondered about a roll bar like OldCreek mentioned but have no idea where to come up with one. The big question that I have is how you insure it, especially if you are driving it some? I havent been able to find a company that will go along with what the market value of one like this is.

Re: Newbie 72 Blazer owner question

Hagsrty and Grundy are the two biggest antique insurance companies. I think there is some restrictions though so keep that in mind.

Re: Newbie 72 Blazer owner question

With the lft I looks like you have , I think 33x12.5 would look the best.
