Picked up a new project.
My lil bro and I got us a new project not that we need anymore. It's a '69 K5. So far plans are to convert it into 2wd. Haven't gotten too far with it here are some pics of it.

looks like a solid body on a body that has been pretty well stripped, a good candidate to modify it to whatever your heart desires without having to worry about any originality, congrats on picking up the project!

Re: Picked up a new project.
Looks like fun. I was getting ready to convert a 72 4x4 that I had before I found my 70 2wd. I look forward to the conversion progress.
BTW, if you are posting pics from an Iphone, it tends to post them sideways... Don't know why though.

Here's a very slow progress pik. The back end is now 5lug. Kinda going for the gasser look! Lol.

Re: Picked up a new project.
Oops it didn't upload! Here it is. The springs and spindle are just being mocked for now. Maybe tomorrow I'll button it up.

Re: Picked up a new project.
The 2wd transformation is almost coming full circle. Just need rotors, calipers, steering linkage and power steering box. However majority of the conversion is done. Here are some pics to show the progress.

Re: Picked up a new project.
Dahos, all I used for the power steering box was a stock 2wd box out of a 3/4ton '72 Cheyenne, I haven't gotten shocks on it yet most likely will be using some from ECE. For the rear, I used a stock 5 lug leaf spring rear out of '72 gmc with an eBay flip kit. This build mainly consisted of used parts factory parts and new components also such as the drop spindles from mcgaugheys a craigslist find! The front springs also from craigslist are from bell tech not really sure what the drop is on them maybe a 3inch drop??? Balljoints, idlers inners & outers and pitman arms were all new from moog. Have any other ?'s just me know.
