1969 Original Suburban 3rd Row Bench
Last week I explored a local salvage yard looking for parts for my 1969 C-20, but found nothing specific to the truck itself. While I was searching though, I found a seat out of an old junk Suburban and decided that I could maybe create a couch out of it for parades or tailgating. This idea ran through my head until I cleaned it up and started to research it. Apparently the 3rd row seats are quite rare and with this one being original, including the vinyl, and quite sought after, I decided to ditch the idea. Someone would definitely profit off of a seat in this condition, I would rather not run the risk of ruining it. I have painted the brackets and arm bars but have left the rest original. I am looking for $550 or a reasonable offer being that I don't truly know it's value. Please feel free to comment or chime in and we can go from there. I only ask that a local pick-up be it's only means of transport.

Re: 1969 Original Suburban 3rd Row Bench
It is a bit pricey, but a good looking seat. I love the pattern. If it were closer to MA I would make an offer. If it matches someone's interior, and they need the 3rd to complete their build you might get a bite. Good luck!

Thanks for the recognition. Found a seat on here that had a lot of wear and tear and they wanted $450 for it. Being that the seat is in excellent condition for it's age, I would say the price is quite reasonable.

Since the seat is 2 tone blue I would expect it was from a GMC.

Shoot me a reasonable offer. If it matches your original vinyl, this maybe a rare occasion.

I've still got it. I'm not using it and need it gone. Shoot me a message!

Re: 1969 Original Suburban 3rd Row Bench
Wow, nice seat. In a northern michigan junkyard? I thought you had to go way downstate to get to a yard that might hold treasures. I guess I missed this last year. I have two questions, can you tell me more about this yard, where it is and the name, and if they have more of our trucks or was this it? I'm not going to raid your Honey Hole, but just interested to know if or when I need something. Nothing like that around here. And, is this different than a blazer rear seat?

Re: 1969 Original Suburban 3rd Row Bench
The bench is for both Suburbans and Blazers. These benches were made to be shorter in order to fit between the wheel wells in the 3rd row of Suburbans and back of Blazers. That is why it fits in both applications. The yard that I have gotten my goods from is called Hoopers near Midland, MI. The bench came out of the only Suburban they had. They have several other trucks in the yard, but substantially more cars.
