help with seat ID
I was told this was from a 91 chevy truck.. I've[IMG][/IMG] never seen one with the indent in the front. any ideas what it came from. Going into a 54 5 window.

I think that is the "Base" trim seat as it looks like the same design as the auto trans seat out of an 88 a friend of mine gave me several years ago for my 71. I ran it for several years and then we found a nice split bench out of an extended cab and put it in the truck and gave the bench seat to a guy who had a ragged out seat in his truck. It should work pretty good in your truck.

I believe its out of a late '90's with manual trans from a Top Kick mid duty truck. It looks like heavy-duty cloth option. Note the lack of head rest holes in the top of the seat back, the mid duty trucks don't have headrests.
The '88 to 94ish had a thiner profile with a boarder around the edge of the seat back Like this .

I like the no headrest part about the seat. I haven't been able to fit the seat in the cab because we're getting ready to install a "*****in sheetmetal firewall and floor". I'm going to get it reupholstered and am wondering if or how hard it would be to get rid of the indent in the bottom cushion.. or just find new or different seat.. decisions decisions...
