Still waiting for somebody with the cheap hei suggestion for my 6 volt positive ground GMC.. Looks like I'm probably gonna do the pertronix.

I googled and found a few, guess cheap is relative when dealing with a pretty complex part for a small market....
There have been lots of post about the poor quality of the "cheap" chinese knockoffs coming out of AU, so cheap is not always better. I went with a stock GM HEI for mine figured they spent the money to get it right.

I haven't seen anything for 6 volt positive ground though, and from what I have seen it sounds like I can't just hook up a negative ground unit backwards.

Missed it was a GMC, googling will find instructions for converting from positive to negative ground so the 6v neg ground electronics can be used.
