Got my first squarebody! 85 K20

Thought I'd come check out this section of the forum and say Hi.

Here is my new (to me) project. Its an 85 Chevy K20 Scottsdale. Little history, this is actually my father-in-laws old project, he owned it for over 10 years after buying it from the original owners family. He has done all the mods on it however work injuries have kept him from finishing it so it has sat for several years with just a little work here and there before he finally decided to move onto a new project-hence how I own it now.

Current setup is a newer rebuilt 350 with higher compression pistons and a mild cam, a rebuilt and upgraded TH350, rebuilt and upgraded NP205 transfer case and the factory GM 10 bolt front and 14 bolt rear axles. 6inch all spring lift, bigger tires on 01 Chevy factory wheels.

Bodywork is in progress, its been sitting in primer for years so there is a little surface rust but nothing deep. Its about 85% ready for paint. Need a little more alignment and some new body mount bushings as well as a couple little dents repaired. Interior is functional but almost everything need to be cleaned or replaced.

Couple pics I grabbed while looking at it (the other day, in a rainstorm). I'll get some more later.

No real plans yet except finish the bodywork, get some paint and start restoring the interior.

Looks like a great truck for all of Utah's adventures, the 4x4 should take you just about everywhere. Welcome to a great forum. I have visited Ogden a lot. Look forward to seeing your progress reported here!

Looks tough. Not sure what's wrong with sticking with primer.
