WTB Original A Pillar ends both sides
After looking at the a pillar reproductions, I thought I could see if there were any options to have someone cut lower a pillars off a rust free example that is wrecked or rusted in other places that would solve my issue on both sides. Also, I need the nut section that is spot welded on the passenger side. This is for one of the top fender bolts. mine either came off at the blaster, but I do not see it. Picture is Driver side. Love to see some desert options.
Let me know if there are any rust free examples of these sections? Just cut off under the hinge and around the front mount hole. I will drill out the spot welds and fabricate. Let me know the price and I have an account at FedEx to send to me prepaid. Thanks in advance! |

John, if you don't find a set the next best option is the aftermarket lower door pillars. Cut the lower channel out and weld it to the factory door pillar. I got a nice original lower door pillar patch, but it had rust in the lower channel that needed cut out and replaced.

Re: WTB Original A Pillar ends both sides
Scott, nice work! I thought that could be a good plan B but may be a great option. I have these, but the fender mounting area is not even close so I posted the thread. I still would like the original pieces, but I am meeting with my body guy tomorrow and will show him this thread.

Re: WTB Original A Pillar ends both sides
Thanks John. One thing about the aftermarket piece is that is a slightly narrower channel than the factory piece. The channel will be hidden so it won't be a big deal if it's not exact. I tried to keep the angle and width of the channel the same as the factory piece so I didn't have a issue with rocker fitting and keep it somewhat square and flush.

Re: WTB Original A Pillar ends both sides
I was real happy with my counterpart patch panel. I thought it was one of the better fitting patch panels.

TTT still would like an original and the back up piece for the bottom of the front fender mount.
