fenderwell bead/seal

What have all of you done to replace the fenderwell bead or sealant when pulling/reinstalling your fenderwells?

I know I will have to pull mine later, so I'm not wanting to do a full seam sealer. I was thinking maybe some home window gasket material? Or what about the bead the use when making seats, and wrap it in some seat vinyl n wedge that in right before its tightened down?

I'm also curious about that. When I pulled my side skirts off the rear, I found lots of crap accumulated in there. I'm thinking this will help with rust and keeping it clean.

I used seam sealer on mine but, I used a product like this on my transmission tunnel.

Re: fenderwell bead/seal

No I haven't. I hope I don't ever have to. I used the 3M fast and firm on my fender wells and don't think it will be easy to get them off.
