Introducing myself
Hello, everyone.
Been on this site off and on since I first got my truck (Around 2000), but never registered. Figured it was time to make an account, since I'm getting serious about doing a lot to my truck. Been combing through the forums every night at work for the past few days for information about some of my more immediate concerns, and have been able to find answers to almost all of my questions with minimal effort. Just wanted to say thank you for that. Every answer I came across was presented respectfully and thoroughly. Tried to sell my truck a few months back, hoping to get it to someone who could take care of it, as money is tight most of the time. Decided that was a no go with all the stupid offers I was getting. I even listed it for way less than what it's worth. Anywho, got some help in the financial department, so because of the stupidity of trying to sell it, I've decided to get it going and road legal again, so I'll be spending a lot of time on these forums. I'll try not to start a thread if there's already one that can answer my questions. -Patrick : '71 Custom/10, 350, 3 speed |

Welcome to the forum. You couldn't have said it better. There is a lot of very useful information on this forum from a lot of guys who know what they are talking about. It's great to see how respectful members are as well.

Welcome to the forum.
You say you got your truck in 2000? That means you owe 14 years of back photos. lol

Re: Introducing myself
lol I may have some photos of when I did the engine rebuild from when I was 17 or 18, but I don't know where they are... they're not digital. As for other pics, I've never been much of a picture guy. Going to be changing that, though, as I really start getting this thing back to greatness.

Re: Introducing myself
Trust me, nobody is more glad that I decided to keep it than I. I can remember being a kid and wanting a classic Chevy pickup. Then my buddy from school convinced his dad to get him a classic Jeep, and they put it up for sale. Had that truck since I was 16.
As for the pics, I definitely don't have any on me. Would a brief video I put up on youtube to try to sell it bring value to the thread? |

Re: Introducing myself
Ok, ok. Video it is, for now. I'll save pics for when I decide to do a build thread. I actually plan on doing a lot to this truck. Mostly to the motor first. Always wanted to do some tinkering with a V-8, but money has always been an issue. Since it's not as much now, what I can save up will go into POWAH!
For anyone not paying attention: DISREGARD VIDEO NAME; TRUCK NO LONGER FOR SALE. |
