My 1972 CST Blazer 4x4
Long time GM guy, stumbled upon this truck visiting Mom. NC truck by way of Wyoming, rock solid. Chasing #'s, working out the bugs. Needs tires ASAP currently running 33/12.5/15 with no rubbing, considering 31" tires but don't want it to look funny. Also looking to repair? replace? grill it's a little banged up.
Came with protecto plate and owners manual, previous owners misc. paperwork. Should there be seat belts for 5? only setup for four and back seat seams a little small. Not much to do but drive it, wooohhhhoooo!!!!!! lOVE THE FORUM!!!!! Tony |

Re: My 1972 CST Blazer 4x4
Maybe I'm missing a set of belts, Blazers must be a five seater. Checked some dates code looks like carb has been swapped out for a 74 model. Intake and exhaust manifolds check out. Motor is stamped TDR but have not been able to see date code (greasy). Looks like TDR code was used in a few applications. Stock 3.08 gears? tire size is affecting performance. So far so good.

Re: My 1972 CST Blazer 4x4
It's very close to original, alot of the interior and engine bay have been left alone. May have more metal flake?

Re: My 1972 CST Blazer 4x4
I am not a technical guru, there are guys here that are, but I've had two 72s and they both only had 2 seat belts in rear seat. Pretty sure that is standard. Nice nice Blazer. Floor is in awesome shape by pics, and tach dash, ac, bumper pads, tow hooks, real nice. Wish that was my starting point.

Re: My 1972 CST Blazer 4x4
Found out after some reading on here, 3rd belt in rear was a option. I'm hitting junkyard to see what I can find. PO had been adding options, I'm not complaining!! Missing the gas tank skid plate, hope to find one. After digging in to the mechanics, she's going to need brakes ASAP. Steering feels loose, front stabilizer shock is blown that must make some difference, Tires?. Looking for a solution to the 3.08 gears, don't really want to take off the 33's. Here's a pic of the motor, not much to look at.
