Re: spark plugs keep fouling
Hmm, can you provide some details? That will help narrow down the potential causes. For example, are they coated with oil, black soot, wet with gas, etc?
Lots of smart folks on this bb that can help, but details are important. |

Re: spark plugs keep fouling
I would start with a compression check. If it has low compression on the cylinders that keep fouling then there's your problem. If compression is good then possibly valve seals on those cylinders.

Is it the rear cylinder?

Re: spark plugs keep fouling
I think u can still get some anti-foulers at most part stores. They are an adaptor that moves the plug out of the combustion chamber. Go to the parts store & talk to the guy with the most gray hair.

Re: spark plugs keep fouling
There is a high liklihood that the valve seal(s) on those two cylinders are leaking.
For a short term fix get some anti-foulers. Long term replace your valve seals. There are lots of videos on Youtube outlining the process in vehicle if so desired. |

Re: spark plugs keep fouling
Sounds like valve guides/seals as a prior post said. For whatever reason, it seems #7 & 8 lose seals first. Compression is probably ok, it blows some blue at start up and when you downshift. Anti-foulers will work. I had one SBC that I kept a box of plugs and a cheap plug wrench in the glove box. Drove it that way for 10 years. It was my DD and my commute was long enough that the plug fouled every couple months or so.
