Repair slightly overdue

I do auto body repair and had a customer complaining about noise form the back of his truck. Rusted and broken spring shackles are not uncommon around this part of the country but this was the most extreme case I have seen. An 02 1500 4x4 with a bedliner and a bed full of junk. After sending him home to clean out the bed and pull the liner this is what we ended up with.

It certainly made getting the spring bolts out easier. I had just put lowering shackles on my own truck so I just put mine on his and welded patches on the bed floor.

That pic should be cropped and the caption Damnit! put underneath.
Bedliners blow.

Re: Repair slightly overdue

I agree with that, the bed liner was the first thing to go when I got my truck. I like the rubber mats
