Building Trucks With Computers.
Its been awhile since I have been on this site. About 6 years ago I had to stop my job being a mechanic due to health reasons. This also put me in the position to sell my trucks. I couldnt do the work or pay anyone to do it. So that brought on me being in a slump.
A couple of months ago I ran across a game called Farming Simulator 2013. At first I thought it was ok and then I found out you can make your own vehicles. So I fired up the old autocad program and got to work. I noticed in the game no one had built any 60 to 66, 67 to 72 and 73 to 87 Chevy trucks. A 64 is where I started and then it kept rolling from there. Here is a 72 with tube grille...this is in autocad I am not finished with it. The plan is to make a Cheyenne Super 10 out of it. Big block, 4 speed.....so on and so on. 78 Dually LWB Another still in autocad. Modeled after one of my 78 Duallys. This is a 81 to 87 Silverado that someone else started and didnt really finish. I got it and going to finish it up with doing all the chrome and taking off the visor and the front lower spoiler and fog lights. I am going to change the color too. These next three are all 92's. The dually is mine with the help of a couple of other trucks starting with the first 92. I took a suspension out of a one ton and shortened it to fit the swb 92 and took the rims from another dually and the fenders from another. The dually isnt done but been playing with it in the game. All these trucks need the cab worked on to be one ton cabs. The filler panel needs removed like I did in autocad in the bottom pic. The wheels are horrible. The got to go too...except for the dually. Those with be chromed.

Re: Building Trucks With Computers.
Here is some other trucks I have that other have done I will fix and modify to make them better.
I have been adding license plate to all the trucks I have been using. Not all the same number either. And this is the one all the way from autocad.....I built the General Lee. Dixie horn cb antenna and the Crossed flags in the rear filler panel in between the trunk lid and rear window like in the first 3 episodes of the show.

Now you need a life-sized 3D printer.
