What do you think about Borla ProXS Mufflers
Trying to decided on what mufflers to get. I have a 383 strocker, built for low end. I want to be able to listen to the radio when cruising but want a nice sound when I get on it, but nothing obnoxious.

Re: What do you think about Borla ProXS Mufflers
I have SS BORLA mufflers on my Blazer / mild 350 build. They meet my expectations as high end muffler, sound, wear. But, I run SS Borla tips / not tubes. The tips give it a more snappy sound and around 3500 rpm, hard acceleration, they can wake up a neighborhood. If you looking for a rumble, go with tubes at the end.

Re: What do you think about Borla ProXS Mufflers
I've been listening to tons of sound clips for all different mufflers, but it's hard to get a really good feel for what they sound like from a sound clip.
At this point I'm thinking either SS Borlas or SS Magnaflows, 2.5" tubes with an H pipe, coming out behind the rear tires. This will be going on a 383 built for low end torque 1500 to 5500 rpm range.

H-pipe you will loose some low end torque. I would not recommend that for a 4x4. 2WD high flowing motor - yeah. Do some research for better understanding of that issue.

These are the mufflers I chose, but unfortunately they are not installed. I got them because I wanted something different. I seem to remember that they had a tighter, more "tuned" sound to them, but I could be crazy.
