1948 Ford F1 Pro Street Rat Rod or ???

Found this on craigslist. I loved the look it had. The work seemed pretty good and the price was too good to pass up. I talked a friend of mine into halves and we'd do some work and flip it. To make a long story short, he fell in love and he's keeping it. Anyway, still thought I'd post it up.

Tearing it down:

That didn't take much

Next will be cleaning up the frame, reinforcing z's and notch. Installing 4 link and air ride after that.

Man, I dig that truck. I'm a Pro Street guy from way back.

Don't change the wheels and tires! I'd just fix the obvious stuff, make it safe, and do some nice rattle can detailing. If you're going to flip it, clean and detailed will always get you more money than rusty and messy.

Thats exactly what I wanted to do with it. Before my friend decided to keep it for himself. It sounds like he's still keeping that type of look, just going a bit further with engine and suspension.

Thanks guys

Re: 1948 Ford F1 Pro Street Rat Rod or ???

I haven't kept this post up to date. I have some down time so here goes.

Shawn (Trend Auto) has turned this into a really cool pickup. All modern inside with a nasty looking pro street look outside. Still love it and want it back. lol!

Re: 1948 Ford F1 Pro Street Rat Rod or ???

Updates!

Shawn (Trend Auto) has been crossing off some big things on the list now.

Wiring and plumbing getting close. Running boards all cleaned up and panels worked. Window tracks/window regulators and door latches all finished. Getting the interior finished and seats mounted too.

Well it runs and drives! 3" exhaust with cutouts ran. The electric windows and tinted glass installed. AC hooked up and working great.
