Window trim question
Anyone have an idea on how these window trim moldings attach (item 1 in pic below)

Hi jb70c10!
The window trim attaches directly to the window gasket. The window gaskets that hold the window trim have a groove in it all around the perimeter of the window. The window trim has a an "L" shaped lip that, when inserted into the gasket's grove, holds it tightly into place. The window trim/gasket combo for the 67-70 differs from the 71-72 trim/gasket combos. The difference is that one year range has a deeper "L" shaped lip than the other year range. The rear window trim/gasket combo are all the same for the 67 (big window)-72 years

The body shop manager where I work is an old glass man from way back....he absolutely hates putting those pieces on! I had a 72 that had that trim and he put a front glass in for me. He got the trim on, but it took quite a bit of "verbal persuasion". I know there is a tool made for installing that trim, but we didn't have one. Might be a little easier with that tool.
