Identify this switch???

I have a 1971 C10 that had a 250 six cyl.
While restoring and replacing the 6with an 8 I noticed this switch which was not connected to anything on the 350 turbo automatic.
Can somebody tell me what it is and what it does?
I'm not sure the trans is original to the truck so it may not be a '71.
Thanks
