Replacing th400 with nv4500 in my C20...questions

I have a 71 C20 454/th400 with the Dana and 3.54 gears. Im abouth to swap in a NV4500, from a Chevy deisel truck, '97 or so, short tailshaft with fixed yoke.

Lots of info on 4x4 stuff and builds, but havents found squat on a simple 2wd.

My main questions are about usability of the original tranny crossmember and driveshaft.
Anybody know of a good build thread or info on our trucks?

Thanks!
