Cab patching advice

Anyone ever run into kick panel rust like this? it goes all the way to the bottom of the windshield. With it being all curved and shaped looks hard to fabricate something. As far as I know they don't make patch panels. Any help is appreciated. ThanksName: 0512131339d.jpg

Re: Cab patching advice

that looks like too much work and $$ to repair I would look for another cab or whole truck to put one together out of

Re: Cab patching advice

I am just finishing the usual rockers, cab corners, floor sections, and lower kick panels on both drivers and passengers sides. I got all my parts from Manes Truck Parts. Great delivery times and Customer service. Looks like all the parts you need are there. That said, you have a big job ahead. I had just enough left to have reference points for the new panels and it went pretty well. Cab supports were the tough part for me as I did mine on the frame.

Re: Cab patching advice

I'm hammering, bending and welding through the same thing right now,if you have time and lots of it its not too difficult but a major pita,I would take 67lwb's advice and try to find another cab before tackling this thankless job again...

Re: Cab patching advice

Before and after. Took me 6 weeks to this point, and that's pushing fairly hard. Both sides are done and welded, working on paint prep. Looking at what is done, I would do it again. Maybe.
