I'm not surprised. He has spammed repeatedly at both Chevy truck sites I frequent. He also lies, trying to make it look like he is a satisfied customer, rather than a seller. Anyone selling a quality product would not need to resort to such tactics.

EDIT: Oops. Bigblock73 types faster than I do...

Go with Chevy Chic's design! I have heard postive comments about her overlays.

Here was Heather's Ebay auction.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ory=46100&rd=1

It doesn't appear she has any current auctions going at this time, but you don't have to buy via the auction. She actually will make more $$'s bypassing the Ebay auction. (no listing or auction final value fee)

Hey guys,

I don't have any Ebay auctions going on at the moment. But you definitely don't have to go through ebay to get the gauges. Just drop me an e-mail and I can send you a sample pic if you haven't seen one.

Very close guys. Here's what's going on.

The bowties are on hold until I get authorization from GM to use the bowtie.
The reason some people were able to get the bowtie were because they had been waiting several months as I got these ready and made sure the quality was good enough to sell. When I started realizing that the bowtie could get me in trouble if GM saw them (or someone like Durango Designs decided to report me to GM since I threaten his business), I wasn't going to go back on a lot of my friends and tell them I no longer could offer them because I was worried of a little trademark issue. So I made the gauges for everyone who had originally wanted a set and anyone who wanted some for the first month that I was offering them. Once all the orders were placed, I stopped offering them.

I know a lot of people out there get away with selling trademarked items without a license. I don't want to do business this way because with my luck, it'll come back and bite me on the @$$ and it's not very ethical to knowingly be doing something illegal. The internet is just too big and too easy to find people these days and GM is too big for someone like me to knowingly use their trademark without permission.
(I have also been in touch with a few lawyers to make sure my concern about the trademark is legit.)

So anyways, now that you all understand why I've decided to do what I'm doing, here's the current plan.

Currently I'm offering only the plain ones. The flames are designed and ready to go but aren't going to be offered unless I start seeing some more interest in them.

The future plan is to HOPEFULLY get the authorization from GM to use the bowtie then eventually the GMC logo.
I do have good news so far about the bowtie. About a month ago, I wrote a letter to the head legal advisor for GM (I scrounged around the internet to find him, his address and his phone number....see what I mean about being able to find anyone? )

I received a letter Friday from his secretary or someone close to him with a formal application to request authorization to use the trademark. There is normally a $50 fee to go through this paperwork, but for one reason or another, someone at GM must have liked my letter enough to waive the fee. So all I have to do is fill out the form today and submit my formal request and wait.
I have no idea what direction this is going to go. I'm really hoping they approve the bowtie without costing me a ton of money for licensing. As soon as I hear anything, I'll be sure to let everyone know.

I really wish I could sell you a bowtie set, but now you understand why I can't at the moment.

Well I'll definitely wait until the bowtie ones get approved and then I'll be hitting you up for a set. Thanks for the update. I noticed today that there is another person selling these on Ebay. However, he doesn't have them mfg himself it looks like. Seems these are getting very popular.

heather, i am pretty sure (i hope) they wont have a problem with it. if they approve it.. you should send them a set, especially since they waived the fee.

I think it is a very good idea to wait and get authorization. Besides, once you get it you can say they are officially licenced by GM! These things do seem to be catching on. Hope GM is nice! They better be, or the community here might get angry and GM DOESN'T want to see that happen right guys? I may have to buy a set of the flame ones too.....
