72 C10 LWB Frame off Restoration
Hey guys I've been all over this site for a while, searching tons of threads, finding motivation to start my own build and I finally have. A 72 c10 lwb. Quite a 'field find' if you ask me. I bought it for $900 back in November of 2013 and had it towed home. The guy I bought it from had started the restoration process but hadn't gotten far. The side moldings had been taken off and the tailgate was primed. The grill was also stripped. Other than that it was all whole, but hadn't been started in eight years. The motor is an old school 350 but I don't know many details. It definitely had some chrome dressing a while back. The tranny is a turbo 350 but again not many details known. I will definitely be building both when the time comes. Anyways, we put the mystery oil to it and replaced all 8 plugs and sure enough it fired right up. Roasted the tires to check for posi (open differential of course), and then the teardown began. I'll add more to what I've done so far after work tomorrow, but can't seem to figure out how to add more than one picture to a single post. Any advice?
