Lights, So Annoying

Last week got turn signal lights installed and working.
This week install the 4 side marker lights. They work but turn signal lights not working. Parking lights work but no flashing turn signal light.
UGHHH!

Re: Lights, So Annoying

I was having the same issue. Unfortunately 40 + years of rust and crud build up cause my issues. Our lights have separate grounding points and if they are not in good shape, your lights will not be bright or not work at all.
What I did was solder ring terminals to the light bucket where the screw attaches to the body in case the solder breaks. I ran 8 gauge wire from the terminal down to the frame, keeping wires as short as possible. I then ran 2/0 wire from the frame to the bed, making sure to locktite the screws so they won't come out. I did kind of the same in the front but with smaller gauge wire, mainly because they were working fine. Good luck.

Re: Lights, So Annoying

Like listed above I also had fits out of my taillights brake lights and turn signals, I ran new grounds from the lights to the body then to the frame and it all started working fine so definately check your grounds

I don't know what year your truck is but some side marker lights blink with the turn signals and some don't.... some just the fronts blink and not the rears.

There were no lights mandated in the side markers at all until late '69 or early '70.
