Rear wheel arch covers -show me pics and details please.

I think I started a thread on here some time ago and have been searching for it, but cannot seem to find it, despite various search words.

I am thinking of trying to make some when the time comes.

Does anyone have pics of C10 Fleetsides with them fitted and also possibly the method of fitting them securely to the truck, as I would hate to lose one after making it.

Thank you.

Grizz 1963 yeah these are a set of homemade skirts I got finished with about 3 weeks ago pretty simple job because I am in no way on level of a lot of people on here fabrication wise or knowledge wise as this is my 1st chevy pick up.....hell 1st truck of any kind.....anyways I started with some cardboard and made a template then took some square tubing and used an english wheel to get to the shape of wheel arch ran a straight piece along bottom( I choose to run with the body lines as flush as possible) then rolled out a piece of sheet metal to match body contour and welded it all up. drilled a few holes for the bolts for underside and some in the top of fender well lip for locator pins........ as you can tell im not exactly Ansel Adams with a camera either so if need a pic of something let me know and I'll do my best

Hi Sean,

Have you progressed with your truck and these side skirts?

thanks....its been a long road from here.....to today..there lots in the works but my imagination is usually way in front of my wallet so I'll just keep chipping away at it little by little but I'll definitely put it out there that this is happening this winter one way or another

The only way those skirts will look good is if you shave everything else off and relocate your tank to the back unless you wanted to drill a hole thru the bed and rear of the cab and relocate the filler there.
