Headlight relay harness
I put in the headlight relay wiring harness and everything seems to work fine. The PO used to tow a small 5th wheel with this truck so I decided to rip out the electric tow brake control and also the 5th wheel electric harness that was in the bed. I swear I've never seen such a hodgepodge of wiring under this truck. Anyway it's all cleaned up now.

Re: Headlight relay harness
Did you buy a kit for that or build it yourself?

Re: Headlight relay harness
I bought the kit from Classic Parts of America. Didn't have to cut any wires with this harness just plug and play. Did have to loosen top of radiator to get other connector through to drivers side headlight.

Re: Headlight relay harness
I did that upgrade without a kit 7 or 8 years ago and its a super, for the price , and easy to install upgrade to our trucks. The other super bang for the buck upgrade is a front sway bar, especially the 1 1/4 inch one.

Re: Headlight relay harness
Yes - A very good upgrade. I got the same one you have over a year ago and have had no issues. It's nice to have brighter lights isn't it?

Re: Headlight relay harness
Thanks! I've been looking for one and couldn't find it. I was searching wrong. I used "headlight" and they use "headlamp".

Re: Headlight relay harness
I just made my own. And yes it's one of the best upgrades you can do to these 40 year old trucks.

It sucks not being able to hear! LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB! After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

Re: Headlight relay harness
Nice to hear it works well. I've always heard good things about the harness.
