Inner rocker repair
I am looking at a 67 that has great paint and very solid outer rockers but I can tell it will need some inner rocker, cab support and floor work at some point. Has anyone ever repaired inner rockers without cutting into the outer rockers?

Re: Inner rocker repair
I guess you could do it, but if the inner rocker is gone..more than likely everything else under the outer rocker is close to being gone too like the lower door pillars in the front. You'll be very surprised at what a outer rocker hides once you take it off.

Re: Inner rocker repair
I would pull the outer rockers and do some inspection of the work. If you have to cut away any part of the floor. Weld some braces so the cab want widen with you. I have already went thru the very same thing. I didn't weld braces so now I have to deal with the problem. I would be surprised if you find that the front and rear pillar isn't rotten. But, that is why you need to do a inspection. It might not need inter rockers but it is a lot easier to do it right the first time.
