help with universal joint depth on Chinese steering column

does anyone know the correct depth the universal joint should slide onto the DD shaft on steering column?

also does anyone know how to tighten up the slop in the steering column of the cheap Chinese steering columns from CPP?

I just got one and installed from CPP. I was actually quite happy with it. The steering column was very tight. You can tighten up some slop in the gear box. It's the cent screw on top. I also used a stock intermediate shaft from a donor truck. I would suggest that first.

The original intermediate shaft had splines top and bottom. Slides right over the the CPP colum with splines.

anyone know if the jeep xj shafts work on these trucks as well? i know they work with 82-92 camaros as well as 88-96 chevy trucks as well. that or the astro van shafts that have both u joints eliinating the rag joint

I'm trying to figure out if my new steering column is junk or not does. Where the splines are on the shaft is it normal to beable to wiggle up and down?
