what color were tilt columns and steering wheels

Someone told me that all tilt columns in 1972 chevy blazers and trucks came painted black with a black steering wheel from factory. Does anyone know for sure about this. Thanks

Re: what color were tilt columns and steering wheels

That is correct. I just had a rebuilt tilt painted dark saddle to match my interior and added a matching saddle wheel.

I asked this question in the truck forum a few weeks ago. I was also told all black.
