CCP tubular trailing arm sway bar bracket
Looking for anyone who has CCP tubular trailing arms and has modified the trailing arms or found brackets to use the rear sway bar. I had the sway bar bolted up on the OE trailing arm I-beams and it was simple to install on my 71. Thanks

Re: CCP tubular trailing arm sway bar bracket
CPP sells a bracket kit to install the rear sway bar with their tubular tailing arms I think it is like $49.

Thanks! TTA-SBIK? Is that the part number? Do you know of anybody that has used these?

Yes that's the kit. I do not know anyone that used it yet. I will be soon when my parts get in.

I ordered my set last night, and lo and behold, the confirmation email says "TTA-SBIK C10 TUBULAR TRAILING ARM SWAY BAR INSTALL KIT"

Got an update on your progress? My brackets appear to be coming on Tuesday.

Re: CCP tubular trailing arm sway bar bracket
I sent a email to CPP's tech support, and here is the reply I got,
"No set instructions for this but place the brackets loosely on the tubes, with the suspension loaded you want to keep the end links at a 90 degree angle to the sway bar. Aaron Strietzel Classic Performance Products, Inc" I don't have a cab or bed on my frame, so I am likely a few weeks out at best. Unless I just put everything up loosely. I already bolted the L brackets to the frame.

Re: CCP tubular trailing arm sway bar bracket
The kit came today, and the pipe clamps will not work. They put 2" exhaust clamps in the kit and I don't think they accounted for the metal welded to the sides of the trailing arms. Went to the Advance Auto store down the road and picked up some 2 1/4" pipe clamps and the width is correct, but the U-bolt needs to be semi-round or maybe even square. The shipping and handling charge was also a little excessive, $34.44 for FedEx Ground from Cali to Delaware. I deal with shipping all the time at work and that is extremely excessive for ground.

Did not get parts yet when I do I will let you know what I got. I hate when kits don't work.

Re: CCP tubular trailing arm sway bar bracket
Did you figure something out yet? I put my porterbuilt crossmember in and my cpp tubular trailing arms in and I see the delima. I tried 2 1/4" exhaust clamps if they were longer I could make them work. My only option as of now is to use a 2 1/2" square ubolt kit for a trailer leaf spring suspension. But I will have to modify that set up also.

Re: CCP tubular trailing arm sway bar bracket
I started making brackets just like the rounded brackets that are intended to be used on the bottom. Started with a 1 1/4" square box tube and traced out. Cut it out last night, just need to do the curved part. Will post pics tomorrow night.
