Re: Is anyone running 07 to 13 chevy interior
I used the back seat out of a Hummer h2. Front seats tend to be a bit too wide. This seat has center shoulder belts, heated elements, and flip down arm rest/ cup holder. Sorry no pics handy.

I stopped and took a look at a 2014 Silverado to see the seats and console. I was thinking it would make a nice swap.

Very nice; how's the leg room? Can you get more or less with that seat?
(I'm wishing my stock seat could go back a little more.)

Re: Is anyone running 07 to 13 chevy interior
Leg room is fine it is height that is impacted. My wife and I are shorter so it is no big deal but if I was 6'+ it would be too tall. Sits about 3" higher than a stock bench.

Re: Is anyone running 07 to 13 chevy interior
tsetsaf, what specific year is that out of? I'm assuming it is the front seat. Fabbing up new brackets shouldnt be too big of an issue... its all in finding the right donor. Do you mind sharing how much you paid?
It does look a bit high now that you mention it... is there room to remove more of the bracket and/or make it sit close to stock height with some fabbed ones? That setup is absolutely gorgeous! Nice work

Re: Is anyone running 07 to 13 chevy interior
It is out of a 2007 (or so) Hummer H2. It is the back seat not the front. We used the stock bench slider rails and welded this on to the top so the seat does slide forward and back. You are correct that you could cut it down lower.
I bought this in 2008 for $500. It was a brand new take off. You could probably shop around and find a better price but I wanted fresh leather. You can see it here with smaller headrests: http://www.cargurus.com/Cars/2009-Hu...052_pi35843861

Re: Is anyone running 07 to 13 chevy interior
After seeing this post I looked this seat up on Ebay and a guy wants 1600 for what he claims is a new seat that is brick leather. Its pretty nice but 1600 is a bit far fetched in my opinion. There are used seats for 250 up. I installed some 2010 Camaro seats in my Chevelle and height seems to be an issue with newer seats. I'm 6 foot tall and I feel a little tall with them. I plan on making a bracket that is shorter to get me down lower. If you have a decent welder you can make just about any bracket out of flat stock. I really like that seat though I may have to get one.

Re: Is anyone running 07 to 13 chevy interior
Blakeman - no problem. The rear seats are narrower allowing proper space between the end of the seats and the doors (also allows you to reach behind to store stuff out of sight).
Blazerowner - I agree the new seats are taller and if I were taller they would definitely need to be cut down lower. $1600 bucks! Heck I'll sell mine for that price and start over . I picked it up off a CL listing in southern California. The shop was a reseller who picked parts off salvaged vehicles. I remember at the time not finding any real deals on eBay and feeling pretty discouraged. Folks at car shows have said that the seat looks very similar to the one in the back of their Tahoe/ Suburban (which makes sense) so that could widen the search criteria a bit too.

Re: Is anyone running 07 to 13 chevy interior
2 are kinda crappy...they are older. i now have a car seat on the passenger side for my mechanic
they are black seats. sun always makes them look gray im not a BIG guy, so if you are, they might be tight. But if you arent, these are very comfortable go sit in a brand new silverado and thats what these feel like |

Re: Is anyone running 07 to 13 chevy interior
just bolt them to the floor. no extra brackets etc. I left the middle jumpseat where it is (instead of raising it a bit). i may move it up later.
i did drill holes, and used big thick washers and lock nuts from MC, and then bought 3point seat belts and bolted them to the floor in stock locations. wasnt too bad at all. not for everyone, but they are great for me |

Re: Is anyone running 07 to 13 chevy interior
the tank is out back.. I put a 5.3/4l60e in it and wanted an efi tank...
there is room behind the seat for a truck box subwoofer... just barely, but it fits... |
