brake line close to exhaust ?

I put duals on my 80 swb and the ex. at the rearend is about a inch and a half from the rubber hose going to the junction block. Is there enough heat this far back on the exhaust to affect the brake line? The truck is just a weekend type truck in the summer,no long trips.

Re: brake line close to exhaust ?

I would move something. Even though there might a lot of heat, there is still some. Heat and rubber don't always mix well. If you can't move either, you could clamp a heat shield to the exhaust.
