CL Steal of the Week... 1988 Suburban

It was on the St Louis CL for several weeks before I bought it... so no complaining!

1988 R2500 454/400/3.73 w/locker. 70K on rebuilt 454. Rust free body except for the bottoms of the barn doors. Dash has a couple cracks and the bottom of the drivers seat is soft. It is a power lock, crank window truck... go figure. INCLUDED a working small mini fridge, a couple of recvier hitches AND a Craftsman box loaded with Craftsman and S&K tools. After I went though the box I had a (another) complete set of metric and standard wrenches and a complete set of 1/4 inch drive 6 point S&K sockets 3/16 to 9/16 and 4 mm to 16 mm in both long and short sockets! Easily $600 worth of tools! For the the grand total of $1300!

Looks like a nice driver... but its headed to be a parts ride. I need the rust free fenders and front doors for my brothers 85 K10.

Kinda sad to see something that nice to be used for parts. Buying new doors and fenders would have been cheaper.

What's the condition of the interior? Does it have front captains chairs with center console and the overhead console?

It is, but I can't find any nos doors and fenders for my brothers ride... never mind a nice set of rust free doors and fenders. I have been down the aftermarket route with sheet metal. If I/we were just going to sell the K10, Id go aftermarket, but since the k10 is likley to be in the family for many years, oe is the only way to go.

The interior is above average. Buckets and console in the front, and 2 bench seats in the rear. No overhead console, but a perfect headliner. Not quite ready to part it out, but when I do I will post it in the parts section...
