If we are talking about budget, I don't think the black is in my future!! Good looking truck though.

I'd break it right at the edge of the door skin. That leaves basically the entire jamb red. When you open the door, the red is quite noticeable. Same as the guys who paint their interiors white. It really makes them pop visually when you open the door.

Of course it may make it look like a red truck that was just shot black.

Re: where does the red start and where does the black begin

Here's a link with some pics of how they did it from the factory on the 67's which was the only year the did a different color interior/exterior paint job during the 67-72 models.

Yeah, I need to save them to my computer because sometimes images come up missing due to image hosting issues (like if a member deletes them from their image hosting account). I had to look through several threads on the subject before I found that one. There seems to be a bunch of threads looking for this info but this was the only one I could find with clear pics. It's great info for someone wanting to do a "factory" style restore. Thanks a bunch to the original poster for the pics. There may be other post with pics of this type on the forum (it's a BIG place to search) but I didn't find them using my search terms.

Re: where does the red start and where does the black begin

Can use the pics in my build thread as reference linked in my signature below. Also, GM used flat paint to reduce glare on the top of the dash, which was painted to match dash pad.
