'68 GMC 1 ton dually restoration
Here's what I started with.
It was my dads that he bought non running then it just sat for 10+ years. I told him I wanted to restore it and that's how this project began. |

Re: '68 GMC 1 ton dually restoration
First thing I did was rebuild the original running gear.
327 bored .30 over, kept the SM465 Muncie transmission, also decided to run the Eaton HO72 rear end. . |

That's pretty sweet. Are you going to keep the stake bed or do something different?HAve you seen that crew cab dually with the fleetside bed and stepside fenders grafted on?

Re: '68 GMC 1 ton dually restoration
I've seen many of truck done that way and love the the fleet side duallys but I didn't want to cut the truck up. Yes, I'm keeping the same bed but it needs a lot of reworking.

Mocked up the front clip and doors this afternoon to check my gaps. The lower door skins still need a little straightening. |

Nice!
I like that you haven't removed the C30 bits. To quote a famous member her, flex fans will try to kill you. Get a clutch fan from a late 90s truck. |
