Water pump help
So i was topping off my coolant system and when doing so water (a lot) came out of the weep hole in the water pump. Is it safe to assume in need to replace it? (2001 5.3)

Oh yea! Water coming out ofthe weep hole is bad sign.

LS water pumps are notorious for going out, so you can prob rest easy knowing the pump is the problem. The water pump spacers are needed to swap to the ls1 style pump if I remember right. I went electric so I didn't really bother with all the spacing and such. I don't think the spacers are too expensive though and if you have a serious interest in swapping the intake later on, then why do it more than once right?

yep, you'll need spacer if you wanna use the f-body pump with the f-body pulley
someone was telling me you can press off the f body pulley and press on the truck pulley and that fixes it. probably gonna give that a shot myself eventually. |

if you were to use the gen 5 camaro water pump, would you have the clearance for the car intakes? I know those pumps have the same spacing as the truck acc. and move the inlet to the driver side but are they low profile enough?
