1972 charcoal canister: what do these plug into?

OK...by some miracle I was able to get the canister line back on today. I know that the big hose here attaches to the (canister) hardline but what do these two little fittings attach to?

My dad unhooked this thing probably back in the 1970's and he has no idea how it looked before. What advice can you guys give?

The factory service manual will give you a good rundown on the fuel line installations for the various models, the evap operation, parts layout and replacment. This is from the 72 manual.
