Rocker Panels

I was wondering if anyone knows which part is needed. I believe it could be the rocker panel but I can not get a close enough picture from the vendors to know if the rocker panel has the lip for the door seal? Can anyone tell me if this is the piece I need as the passenger side is rusted out and the lip that holds the door seal is gone.

Thanks for all your help
Ron

Re: Rocker Panels

Yes the rocker panel. More than likely you will find more rust once you take it off. A pillars and possibly floor pan outer piece. Starting on post #27 of build thread you can see where i started on my cab rust. I havent finished yet but i have both floor pans welded in. I ordered all my stuff from top banana

Re: Rocker Panels

I agree with the more rust!!

And then ya get the rocker inner rocker and front pillar repaired and then ya find someone's coble job.

there repair panel had like a 2 in lip not a 1/4 to 1/2 . Tried to hide ther work in the crease (worse place to)

found the pc. I needed in a little yard 40 miles from me only 1 he had in the yard. Only useable pc on the truck too (how did I luck out).

Always wondered why the cab and box looked like crapola on drivers side.

Re: Rocker Panels

Once the rocker is off, you will likely find rot in the bottom of the front door frame (A pillar) where it meets the floor. Also, you may see kick panel rot. I have replaced the bottom of the door frame and the kick panel. The rocker goes on next.

My welding shows that I am a beginner, but I get things done. The outer rocker DOES have a lip for the door seal.
