1965 frame off progress
I think I started this in February this year. Here is the progress to date. The truck with the black bed is the donor frame and bed, as I found my lwb frame to be bent. The engine is a 350 with double camel hump heads from my 70 chevelle.

Here are a few more. The donor chassis is just about ready for sandblasting and powdercoating.

It looks like you are making some nice progress on your build. Good luck and keep the pictures coming. Here are a few photos of the dash clusters I have in a few of my '64-'66 Chevy trucks. The gauges are a little nicer than the factory warning light clusters and the dash mounted factory tach is a real nice addition. Tony |

Re: 1965 frame off progress
The first two pictures are of my swb base, which is about to be blasted. The next three are of my 70 chevelle with a black gloss powdercoat.

The powder coating rocks!!! I have been thinking about it for my Impala SS ragtop, and now seeing it on that chevelle frame, will probably do it. Keep on truckin!!!!! Jerry

Jerry-
The thing about it is that its pretty cheap too. A guy here in SC did it for like $200 if I remember correctly. |

Re: 1965 frame off progress
My plans right now are a 3-4" inch drop in the rear and only 2 1/2 inch drop spindles in the front. I may also use 1" drop springs in the front depending on my mood when I order.
