New chrome smoothies!!
Hey all! I've just gotta show off my new rims, they showed up yesterday and could hardly wait until today to get them mounted. Here's some pictures:
Here's the sizes: Front - 15x8x4"BS, 245/60 tires Rear - 15x10x4.5"BS, 275/60 tires Thanks to Darryl Loose of Wheelmaster Classics in Calgary for setting me up with these! I'm very happy with them.

Re: New chrome smoothies!!
NICE!
What brand and model are those wheels? Also, love the stance, please share what lowering components you used: brand, specs, etc.? TIA! -Ed Sub'd for future reference...I really want those rims, or a painted version with chrome moons. |

Re: New chrome smoothies!!
Thanks for the kind words guys! EdSevered I believe Darryl brought these up from Wheel Vintiques. They're a pretty generic chrome smoothie I guess. Came with the baby moons.
As far as the stance is concerned: Front and rear are converted to a 1971 5-bolt setup. Front: CPP 3" drop spring and early classics 2.5" drop spindle for a total of 5.5" Rear: CPP 4" drop spring and 1.25" block for a total of 5.25". The axle is pretty much sitting on the bump stops. I've got helper bags installed in the back too that I can pressure up to haul a load or pull a trailer, and depressurize to get my smooth ride back. I like to have a nice rake, so I aimed for approximately equal drop front and rear.

First, I have to say again, I am really digging the look of your truck. I had to save the pics. Next, I have a '71 Cheyenne with a stock front end, which I thought (haven't verified) would be a stock 5x5 bolt pattern. I was checking out the Wheel Vintiques website (www.wheelvintiques.com) and saw that they don't offer a 5x5 in the 15x8x4"BS in most of the smoothie lines. Which series did you go with? From the pics they look like Series 13. Which I like a lot. Are you using adaptor plates, or possibly different width? TIA! -Ed |

Re: New chrome smoothies!!
EdSevered I emailed Darryl to see if he could tell me the Series name for these rims. Here's what he said: ..."the wheels are manufactured by Wheel Vintiques out of California and they are called Chrome Smoothies". These are a double pattern wheel, I think the other pattern is 5x5.5. So no adaptor plates, and the rims are definitely 15x8x4BS up front. I looked at the Wheel Vintiques website and I think these are what I've got:
