Power Steering Box Thread Size

I am trying to figure out what size tap I would need to chase the threads on the pressure side of my power steering box. The old hose was cross-threaded so I need to repair the threads. The hose is a 7/16 male inverted thread, but I don't know what that translates to in terms of a tap. I am sure it is a straight pipe thread. Thanks for any help.
