Oem vs aftermarket swb bed floor ??

Hey guys, anyone have any details on oem vs aftermarket steel bed floors? I'm restoring a 68 k10, so far everything is nos or oem parts. Not a big fan of aftermarket. But my bed floor either needs some good work or replaced.
Just wondering if someone has experience with a aftermarket.

Thanks!

Matt

Re: Oem vs aftermarket swb bed floor ??

I have a Woodall bed floor in my short bed and it fit perfect and is just as thick as the OEM. I felt the same as you about aftermarket till i used the woodall...

Re: Oem vs aftermarket swb bed floor ??

Brian, is Woodall a manufacturer of the sheet metal or do they source their parts from Dynacorn like other distributors? I'm thinking of buying the kit but I am iffy about aftermarket metal. Have had bad experiences with it in the past. Have you installed the bed sides or any other part? How is the fit?

Re: Oem vs aftermarket swb bed floor ??

Kirk,
Woodall is the manufacturer.I had searched the whole US for a bed was willing to pay for shipping but could not find anything worth paying shipping for.I could not believe how good the fit and finish was.I am using everything except tailgate which is NOS.
My dad is a old timer that's built about 30 street rods over the years and was very impressed with the quality.

Re: Oem vs aftermarket swb bed floor ??

I see the kit on southern Kentucky truck parts for 2300. Seems like a pretty good deal since most people want 1500 or more for a bed. Even one that needs work. That does look nice.
