anybody tried aftermarket door hinges for AD

Wondering if the quality and fit are good.

simple answer..... they are all crap. I tried 2 different brands and had problems with both.

If you have your old hinges try the rebuild kit from someone like Brothers. I used them on mine. I drilled the hinge out inserted the supplied bushing. Reinserted a new hinge pin and now mine are tight and no drop at all when I open my door. I also installed new hinge springs as well.

They stink...I bought a set and there was no way on God's green earth that you could adjust them enough to even shut the door. Ended up rebuilding a stock set.

Let's start a thread about AM parts that are GOOD, it will be three posts long. AM parts are crap, they are great when nothing else is available, they are "similar" as a friend of mine called a part he pulled out of a box that came in the mail for his Vette 25 years ago. They are SIMILAR, that's it, that is as good as they get.
