do i have to replace the master cylinder to a different one or will the stock one work?

Re: upgrading brakes
Good question. There are vendors who will happily let you know for sure. I think the amount of fluid needed for discs is less than for drums, but I believe the bigger issue is the balance of pressures between front and rear, needed for proper stopping.
SSBC has a website that may be of some help. Also, the other forums on this site may be a resource to use.

Re: upgrading brakes
i'm sure someone will correct me if i am wrong, but I think you'll just need to switch the proportioning valve under the mc from disc/drum model to a disc/disc model.

Re: upgrading brakes
Regarding the proportioning valve, it depends on whether you are getting calipers with integrated parking brakes (El Dorado rear calipers). Without the parking brake, the disc/disc valve would be fine since you don't need a residual valve. The El Dorado calipers require a residual valve to counter act the parking brake spring to prevent the piston from moving too far out. The disk/drum proportioning valve has the residual valve built in for the rear circuit.
