radiator?
my current stock radiator has began to leak so i want to replace it, im planning a 383 stroker implant so my question is do I need something special or can i just use a stock radiator? Also any recommendations on radiator mfg.s?

do you have A/C
I would stay with a 3 or 4 core , heavy duty if possible , I got my upgrade from LMC years ago have not had any problems with it so far

The 383 itself, being only .030 over does not need anything special.
I did learn when redoing mine though that the notion of more cores the better is not so. Those cores are then each smaller. The reason they made those extra cores was because the material isn't up to the bigger area needed to make say a two core that is the same overall increased thickness as the Standard 3/4 core. But, aluminium does have the strength, go figure. So it's not so much much 2 core vs. 3 or 4 core, but the thickness of the radiator itself and a 2 core of the same thickness as the standard 3 core will provide more effective surface area for cooling... Anyways, the 383 doesn't need anything special. High performance on the other hand may. |
